What is UK Dating Club.com and how does it work ?

We offer a fast, fun and great way of meeting other single people who are also looking for a relationship. Simply fill in a short form to join for free and you will then be able to start searching for your perfect partner. As soon as your profile is online other members can send you messages and you will receive them for free. If you wish to send messages to other members you will need to upgrade your membership to Premium Membership. Our Premium Membership service lets you send an unlimited number of messages to our database of singles.

How do I join ?

Joining is quick and easy - Join here by filling in just your name, email, username and password. We will then send you a confirmation email. All you need to do then is click on the link in the email to complete your registration.

What can I do on your dating site for free ?

You can join, search, add your profile, add your picture, and receive messages from other members for free. If you wish to send messages to other members you will need to upgrade your membership to Premium Membership. How do I create my profile ?

After you have registered, just login and you will be taken to your profile page, complete your details here and then press "submit" at the bottom of the page.

How long does it take for my profile to appear live on the site ?

We review every profile before placing it live on the site and this takes up to 2 working days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) . You will however be able to perform searches during this time on the site. Once your profile has been reviewed and accepted you will then be able to send messages to anyone in our database of singles.

What are UK Dating Club’s profile guidelines ?

UK Dating Club welcomes all single adults seeking one-to-one relationships with members of the opposite sex. Relationships can be friendships, dating, romance to marriage. Individuals must be aged 18 and over.

We may not accept profiles if the username or narrative text contains any of the following:

Any direct contact information such as email address, phone numbers, addresses and URLs.

Abusive language of any kind.

Business or political advertisements.

Discussion or descriptions of illegal acts of behaviour (violence, drug use etc)

Foreign Languages (profiles must be in English so we can monitor them properly)

Overt sexual innuendo or discussion

Solicitation of multiple or additional partners.

Why doesn’t my profile appear when I search?

How do I change my profile ?

Go to our homepage and login, then click on "my account" and then click on "update my profile". Make any changes you want to and then press "submit" at the bottom of the page.

How do I remove my profile ?

To remove your profile you will need to close your account by sending us an email at help@ukdatingclub.com requesting that we close your account, quoting your username and password. Your details including your profile will then be removed from our database and your account closed.

How do I add a photo to my profile ?

Go to our homepage and login, then click on "my account" and then click on "upload a picture". Press "browse" and locate your picture on your computer, select it and then press "upload".

Please note that all pictures must be in either .gif or .jpeg/.jpg format and be less than 50K in size. All photos are subject to approval . Please allow up to two working days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) for your picture to be placed online.

Searching & Messages

How do I search for someone I like?

Go to our homepage and login, then click on our "search" button, select your searching criteria and then press "submit".

How do I send a message?

Once you have found someone you would like to send a message to, simply click on their profile and then press on the "email me" button (below their photo). You can then type your message and then press "send email". We will then send them your message via our anonymous mailing system.

How do I reply to a message?

You will receive an email from us telling you that you have a message. There will be a link in the email which you will need to click on to give you access to your message. You may then click on "Send Reply" to send a reply.
All of your messages will also be available in your Inbox which may be accessed using the "My Email" icon at the top of the screen. After selecting a message from within your Inbox you may send a reply by clicking the "Send Reply" link.

Should I include my email address when I send a message to someone or when I send a reply?

No – UK Dating Club.com does not rely on email addresses for you to communicate, which is why our system is a more anonymous and safer way to communicate than standard email.

I have received an upsetting message – what can I do about it?

If you get a message from another member that you think is upsetting, or breaks our terms and conditions you can report it to us. Send an email to complaints@ukdatingclub.com and we will look into it and contact you within 5 working days.

Do you have any dating advice?

For extra safety we recommend the following:

Always arrange to meet in a public place such as restaurant or pub.

Don’t give your home address, telephone number or email address to a stranger.

Tell someone else where you are going and what time you will be back approximately.

How do I close my account?

You may cancel at any time, either by following the instructions in the My Account section of our web site, or by e-mailing us at help@ukdatingclub.com with your cancellation request. If you e-mail us requesting cancellation please quote your username and password, and be aware that it may take up to two working days for your cancellation to be processed. Your details, including your profile, will then be removed from our database and your account closed.

Passwords & Registration

What do I do if I forget my password or login name?

Go to our homepage and click on Forgotten your Username or Password? and then enter your email address and click "submit". Your username and password will then be emailed to you immediately.

I know my username and password, but I still can’t log on.

There are a number of possibilities:

  1. Please double check that you are typing your username and password correctly. There should be no spaces between the characters, although they are not case sensitive and may be entered in upper or lower case.

  2. You have not verified your email address by clicking on the link in the original email we sent you when you joined. So to complete your registration, please click in the link in the original email that we sent you. After this you will be able to login and fill in your profile. Once you have done this you will be able to access the site fully.

  3. You have not completed your profile. To solve the problem, please login as normal and then fill in your profile. You will then be able to access the site fully.

  4. Cookies are not enabled in your browser. If this is the case then you may not be able to log in at all or you may find that you are constantly prompted to log in over and over again.
    You can check whether cookies are enabled in your browser by attempting to create and then display a cookie using the cookie test utililty provided by Geocities.
    If cookies are disabled in your web browser, please follow our instructions on enabling cookies given below.
Our site has been thoroughly tested with the latest versions of both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. If you are using an old web browser, or a web browser other than Internet Explorer or Netscape, we recommend that you download and install the latest version of either one of these browsers.
